The Vision for the Bakersfield Fire Museum
The Bakersfield Fire Historical Society is leading the effort to create a permanent home for the history, heroism, and impact of the Bakersfield Fire Department. This museum will serve as more than a place of artifacts, it will be a space for education, remembrance, and community connection.
Building the future home of the Bakersfield Fire Historical Society takes a community. Whether you give, attend an event, or share our mission, your support helps preserve history, honor service, and create a space for generations to come.
Our History
OVER 140 YEARS OF BAKERSFIELD FIREFIGHTER HISTORY

The Department has been in continual operation since its inception date and has evolved as a progressive fire agency protecting the city and greater metropolitan area.
